WHAT I DO
Based in New York City, I compose and produce robust urban inspired music for film, television, and web content. My music is designed to enhance the work of the most adventurous content creators in order to cultivate deep connections with audiences around the world.
FILM & TELEVISION MUSIC
As a professional film and TV composer, I strive to match the energy and emotion of each story that I work on. Using a mix of classic analog tools and cutting-edge musical technologies, I create contemporary, collaborative, and emotive music to connect with an international modern audience. Recent projects have included spots for FIFA Club World Cup, VH1, BET,GQ, National Geographic, Banana Republic, and Mountain Dew.
Working in the music industry for a number of years has given me the opportunity to write for and co-write with many artists. Songs I have worked on have been featured on records by both indie and major label artists, including Jennifer Hudson, Drake, Rick Ross, and Bat for Lashes. I am an accomplished and versatile songwriter who creates all kinds of music, from period 80s analog synth to chamber music to big band swing and everything in between.
As a producer I work to cultivate and support my artists' visions with empathy and clarity. During my time as a staff musician for the Hitmen at Bad Boy Records I collaborated on songs for chart-topping artists such as Diddy, Stevie J, and Mario Winans. Blending formal training and streets smarts, I have the depth and musical agility to go in any direction at any moment.
COMPOSITION AND ARRANGING
An accomplished composer and arranger, I work with artists who want to expand their vision to include strings, brass, and/or woodwinds. Bringing the power of the orchestra to elevate a project is one of my great passions.
For the past several years, I have been a faculty member of the Fordham University music department. I also teach jazz, music appreciation, and music history at the Calhoun School. Working at the intersection of progressive philosophy and arts education, I use music to open the door to broader conversations around culture and identity.
